Membership comes with responsibility.
USC Fraternity & Sorority Life expects students and recognized organizations to uphold the values of their organizations and the University. Fraternity and sorority membership is an opportunity to lead, serve, build community, and contribute positively to USC—and it carries a responsibility to act with integrity and accountability.
The USC Student Handbook establishes community expectations and identifies conduct prohibited for individual students and student organizations. Fraternity & Sorority Life works in partnership with the Office of Community Expectations and other university offices to support education, accountability, and transparent communication regarding organizational status.

Speak Up. Seek Support.
Report a concern
USC encourages students and community members to report conduct, hazing, safety, or other concerns. Reports help the University connect individuals with appropriate support and determine what response may be necessary.
If there is an immediate threat to health or safety, call 911. For non-emergency concerns, use USC Report & Response.
Health & Safety Intervention Policy
Call for help when someone needs it.
USC wants students and recognized student organizations to seek medical assistance when someone is experiencing distress related to alcohol or other drugs. The Health & Safety Intervention Policy is designed to remove barriers to requesting help in qualifying circumstances.
Because the policy contains important conditions, exceptions, and educational follow-up requirements, students should review the current USC Student Handbook for the complete policy.
Transparency
Current Chapter Conduct Status
Fraternity & Sorority Life publishes organizational status information to help students, families, advisors, and community members understand when a recognized organization is operating with restrictions or has lost university recognition.
Limited Operations
The organization may operate only within specifically approved parameters while completing a development or corrective-action plan with USC and, when applicable, its inter/national organization.

An interim action may temporarily restrict some or all organizational activity while a matter is reviewed or addressed through the appropriate university process.

Organizations in this category are not recognized by USC and may not conduct chapter operations as a recognized student organization, including recruitment or intake, meetings, or social programming.
