The Fraternity & Sorority Life team provides support, advocacy, education, and guidance to active members, prospective members, chapter leaders, advisors, and campus partners. Our work centers student development, healthy chapter operations, leadership, belonging, and values-based fraternity and sorority experiences.

Ronald J. Atkinson II, Ed.D.

Director

Primary Advisor: National Pan-Hellenic Council

Ronald Atkinson serves as the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Southern California. A San Diego native, Ronald brings more than 15 years of experience advising fraternities and sororities and is committed to creating inclusive, values-based experiences that empower students to lead with purpose.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Baker University, where he played football, served as a campus DJ, and joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. His experiences as a student-athlete and fraternity member continue to shape an approach to mentorship grounded in integrity, teamwork, and lifelong brotherhood.

Alexandria Gonzalez

Primary Advisor: Panhellenic Council

Alexandria joined the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life in Fall 2026 as a Coordinator.

During her time at California State University, Long Beach, Alexandria was initiated into Sigma Kappa Sorority in Fall 2019. She graduated with dual bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and Political Science, with a concentration in Law, Politics, and Policy.

From 2023–2025, Alexandria served as a Travel Leadership Consultant, working with chapters and student leaders to support their growth and development. She is passionate about helping students reach their potential through meaningful relationships, collaboration, and values-based leadership.

Diana Torres

Primary Advisor: Interfraternity Council & Multicultural Greek Council

Diana first joined the FSL team as a graduate student staff member in 2020 and returned in 2021. Her fraternity and sorority experience began in 2017 when she joined Sigma Omega Nu Latina Interest Sorority, Inc. at UC Santa Barbara.

Diana earned her master’s degree in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the USC Rossier School of Education. She supports council operations, growth, programming, equity work, new member and candidate education, risk prevention initiatives, the Council President Learning Community, and fraternity and sorority honor societies.

Graduate Student Staff

Graduate student staff contribute to advising, programming, student engagement, administrative support, and the day-to-day work of the FSL community.
